The Cowtown Rocks event is proud to benefit the following organizations:
Bread for a Hungry World
Founded in 1984, Bread provides food, education and medical support to children living in poverty in Honduras, the Philippines, Russia and Mexico. $50 provides a goat to a family that they can raise to produce milk and cheese. $20 provides a flock of chickens. $5 provides milk to a classroom of children for a week. www.givebread.org
Paschal Band Boosters (scholarship fund)
This fund provides support to low income students to offset the cost of band fees and music lessons. The Paschal band has approximately 200 members and has been recognized as one of the top bands in the area for the past three years. The Band Boosters must raise approximately $50K every year to pay for expenses not covered by the FWISD. www.paschalpanthers.org
Southwest High School Contemporary Music Studio
Donations will benefit the FWISD Fine Arts and Music Excellence (FAME) and Media Tech district magnet programs at Southwest High School, and in particular be used for the purchase of music equipment needed by the Contemporary Music classes and Advanced Audio/Video Production classes to develop and produce FWISD student bands (some are performing in this event).
